Ait Bougamez, High Atlas
I was born in the Ait Bougamez valley, deep in the High Atlas, into a Berber family where I learned the land, the language, and the old traditions long before tourism ever crossed my mind. School eventually took me to Marrakech, but the valley never really let go — every visit home reminded me exactly where I belonged.
That pull is what brought me back to train at the Centre de Formation aux Métiers de la Montagne (CFAMM) in Tabant, one of Morocco's most respected schools for mountain guides. I've been guiding since 2012 — first with international tour operators, and today running my own trips, built around whoever I'm traveling with.
Private escape, group trek, or family adventure — I plan around your pace. If you can't find exactly what you're picturing in the tours listed, that's usually where the best trips start.
Crisp mountain air, terraced villages built into the hillside, the smell of woodsmoke from a Berber home along the way — Mustapha shares the valley the way he grew up seeing it, not the way a brochure describes it.
Guiding since 2012, CFAMM-trained in Tabant — years of reading trails, weather, and terrain across the High Atlas.
Sharing Berber culture and High Atlas heritage first-hand — real encounters, not a rehearsed script.
Private tours, group treks, and family trips — and if nothing pre-designed fits, we build it around you.
